Welcome to the Long Island Mozart Festival!

Step back to when European aristocrats competed for the privilege of sponsoring the great composers of the Enlightenment. This Labor Day weekend, Chamber Players International celebrates the music, the era and the genius of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Sit under the tent or stretch out on the spacious lawn for three days of performances by the Orchestre de Chambre Français, featuring guest soloists from around the world. Our program highlights several Mozart masterpieces alongside selections by three giants who influenced him—Bach, Haydn and Vivaldi—and two who were influenced by him—Dvorâk and Chopin. Accompanying the music are such family-friendly diversions as historical dancing, carriage rides, medieval puppetry and much more.

Our setting is the glorious grounds of Old Westbury Garden. Be sure to visit the century-old, Charles II-style mansion that was home to the Phipps family. Today, the estate is open to the public and filled with antiques, paintings, sculptures and one-of-a-kind furnishings drawn from the Phipps family collection. The surrounding 200 acres feature wooded trails, sweeping lawns, meadows, grand allées, fountains, lakes, rolling fields, a children’s play area adjoining a thatched cottage and a café in the woods. Highlights include the Rose Garden and a Walled Garden with lily pond. Garden and house tours are scheduled at regular intervals.
